This time I was the discussion director and we read from page 159 to 318 (which is the end of the book).
For my job i have to while reading the book think of questions for my group.
My four questions were:
If you were Pi when he was plotting the course of the life boat would you go west were you came from, east to America, north to Asia, south to the shipping lanes or would u just allow yourself to drift?
ANSWERS
Anka: I think that I would just let myself drift because I would not know where exactly to go and it would be also very hard to row.
Cosmo: I would either let myself drift or back from where i started.
Do you think that you will be able to train the tiger the way Pi did?
ANSWER
Anka: No, I would just stay in one corner protected on the boat and make sure that the tiger is stuffed so that he wont feel the urge to eat me.
Do you think that you be attached to the tiger a much as Pi was?
ANSWER
Anka: I don't think that i would be as attached as Pi was but i would miss him a bit.
Would you believe in Pi's story?
ANSWERS
Cosmo and Anka: We would defiantly not believe because it sounds impossible that you can live on small boat for quite some time with a tiger and not die!
